Christmas tea is a delight and encompasses us in the warm sentiments of the holiday season! Her red velveteen swing coat is fully lined. It features a rounded collar and prominent, embroidered holly sprig motifs with red bead berries and fine, shiny green thread used for leaf fill. A sweet little bow under collar has thin red edging. and the true surprise is her matching holiday dress underneath! A pale apricot color satin ground fabric supports a bold central bow with flanking holly sprigs. These berries are embroidered with delicate touches of metallic gold thread outlines. Simple, rounded neckline is perfect with the coat and the puff sleeves have a banded edge. A red velvet waistband with vertical cord pattern brings the design together beautifully. Her teapot ornament is coordinated with the holly theme of her ensemble, with a red bow against the shiny, snow white, porcelain surface. A true beauty with her dark shiny hair, blushed cheeks and rosebud mouth, this little darling will surely be loved and cherished! Because of her layered attire, she has two distinctly different looks for display.
MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.
MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I retailer feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand, please add $1.00 to your order.
