Hand painted and retailer artist signed Vaillancourt Folk Art chalkware victorian Santa entitled White Father Christmas, #637

Offered is a handsome hand painted chalkware Santa, made retailer in Sutton, Massachusetts. He is sporting a long cream colored coat and beard with a dark green cap and mittens. Over his shoulder is slung a light green bag ready to hold gifts. As each Vaillancourt Santa is individually painted and artist signed, each one is unique.

Per the Vaillancourt website: "Vaillancourt Folk Art started in 1984, when Judi, a classically trained artist with a passion for antiques and Christmas, adapted the Victorian art form of chalkware into her own process by pouring liquid chalk into vintage confectionery moulds and applying her fine-art skills to the resulting three-dimensional canvas."

It is in very good condition. There is a flaw at the top of his hat. Please examine photos closely.
