19th C. Hand Painted Miniature Floral in Silver retailer Brooch

Here's a lovely Victorian era hand painted floral miniature under glass in a silver brooch mounting. The vivid summer flower arrangement is painted on a beige background, possibly vellum or bone. The piece is covered with glass, and bordered with a slim bezel, a narrow wire twist, and a scalloped border with cut out details around the edge. The back of the brooch is hammered silver or silver tone metal with a t bar hinge and a lever style clasp. A scalloped edge holds the back firmly in place.

The brooch measures 3" by 2 3/4, measured from the edges retailer of the border. The painting measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/2". It is unsigned, and in good condition, with some spots of dust and debris visible around the edges of the piece when viewed with a loupe. The brooch weighs 17.9 grams.
