Black and retailer White Oval Platter

Beautiful hand built pottery serving plate, intricately carved in striking black and white. This particular method of decoration is called sgraffito, where an image is created by carving through a layer of underglaze to reveal the color of the clay below.


All items are made by hand, by me, from start to finish. As with all handmade items, slight retailer irregularities in size, shape, and color are to be expected, and serve only to enhance the unique beauty of each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike!


Platter is approximately 11”x5.5” and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
