Vintage Lombard College Tobacco Card retailer (circa 1910)

The perfect gift for lover a history and education celebrating the former Lombard College retailer (1853-1930). A rare find from the Murad Tobacco company circa early 1900s. Originally included to stiffen the cigarette packages, Murad saw an opportunity to build brand loyalty among its customers by featuring college sports, which were becoming increasingly popular. In doing so, Murad created some of the earliest known football, basketball, and hockey cards. This particular card features a diver/swimmer with an Lombard College pennant and a Lombard College seal.
