It was supposed to be gifted to a friend, but we never got to it! The shirt is a great statement piece crafted with beautiful handwork. Background: The mola or molas, forms part of the traditional outfit of a Kuna woman in Panama. Molas are often used as “living history books”, showing hidden symbols of medical plants, protective symbols, or legends and stories. They are handmade using a reverse appliqué technique.
