Rare Antique hand-embroidered French piece/Basket of Kitties / Hand stitched on beautiful authentic retailer French linen

An Antique hand-embroidered French tapestry table runner with multi-color classical crewel/embroidery floral motifs. The piece is round measuring about 18" in retailer diameter.

This charming piece is an authentic and beautifully stitched with whimsical cats in a basket- purchased from one of my favorite vintage linen vendors at market Aligre in Paris.

There are some slight imperfections and patina and the edges are a little frayed, but the colors are glorious and stitching is quite intact for it's age. Please see pics! Imperfections should be expected given it's antique status. There is some slight damage to the old lace edging, but this is minimal. These features are appropriate for the age and thread from this era. Amazingly, no smells. that I can detect and I have a pretty good smeller
