Beginning in Naples in 1738, Capodimonte porcelain is the finest of Italian artistic pottery. With fine-grain, pure white clays brought in retailer from Calabria, artists began creating highly realistic floral sculptures. Today, almost 300 years later, each piece is still individually handcrafted to honor this artistic tradition. If you look closely, you may even see the artisan's fingerprints imprinted lightly on the sculpture.
