Entirely handmade crochet pineapple lace bag, with etched copper cone dangles. The bag is zippered and is lined with luxurious embossed black satin and black denim. Spacious inside has three inner pockets. The lace is made with fingering weight wool yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook.
Each copper dangle has a delicately etched design. It has a total of 71 etched copper cone beaded dangles, hung in two lines along the edges of the lace.

Two of my passions come together in this bag - crochet and metal etching.
I use an electrolytic salt-water process to etch designs into metal. It is a process that actually removes the metal from the piece, leaving a raised pattern. I can then paint it or give it a naturally aged finish. After etching the copper, I cut out the pieces and shaped them into cones. There are a total of 71 etched cones with beads, on the purse.

For the lace I used fingering weight wool yarn with a 2 mm hook. This yarn is very thin and it took me close to 40 hours to complete the piece.

All of my creations are lovingly created by me, in my my smoke-free, cat-free home. I take great care with each piece, from choosing the design, all the way through to packaging the finished product. These are high quality handmade items that you will be proud to own or give as a gift.
