Smooth pointed, stainless steel tines, made of cherry wood with a Danish oil finish. A starter diz is included to help you get started, • Smooth spots won't stick to your fiber. • Sharp, but not too sharp. We applied a micro-tip bevel to these points to keep them from being too sharp, but allow them to penetrate your fibers smoothly. • Strong teeth. Our tines are made of solid stainless steel. Not all stainless steels are created equal. There are a variety of stainless steel grades with different advantages and disadvantages. • The tines are set close to the edge. This helps remove more high-quality fibers from the comb as it is unloaded onto the bristles. • Length: 8 inches • Available in fine and ultra fine: Good: the tines are set approx. ¼” to center. Superfine: Teeth set approx. 3/16” to center.
