*Gold filled quality: On a base material (such as brass), the gold layer is connected mechanically, as opposed to simple gilding (galvanic gilding). The gold layer at Goldfilled is 100 times thicker than in simple gilding and is abrasion-resistant in normal use. The outer gold layer accounts for 5% of the total weight. This high-quality gilding has the look like 14 carat gold.
