Antique paintings are the "cat's meow" or in this case it's the "dog's woof"...OK that was super cheesy. This antique watercolor painting is quite lovely done on thick tan watercolor paper of a Great Dane dog is lovely. This is a signed original of a study. This painting was done in 1934 by a skilled hand. There are some folds and damage to the paper, but it is in overall excellent condition. There is some pencil work and gouache highlights. Picture is framed in a decorative wood gilded frame. The canine featured has a powerful appearance. This piece of art would look great in a home with other antique paintings, a neutral theme, farmhouse or any other other style. This piece is a personal favorite.
