This is an original, rare album poster of David Bowie, Heroes taken from NME magazine in 1977.

An iconic poster of one of the most influential artists of all time.

"Heroes" is the 12th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 14 October 1977 by RCA Records. The cover photo, like Iggy Pop's The Idiot, is a nod to the painting Roquairol by German artist Erich Heckel. Upon release, "Heroes" was a commercial success, peaking at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and number 35 on the US Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart. It was the best-received work of the Berlin Trilogy on release, with NME and Melody Maker naming it Album of the Year. Bowie promoted the album extensively, appearing on several television programmes and interviews. He supported Low and "Heroes" on the Isolar II world tour throughout 1978, performances of which have appeared on the live albums Stage (1978) and Welcome to the Blackout (2018).

Over the years I have amassed a pretty sizeable collection of vintage music magazines from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to take the best covers, album adverts and articles and turn them into posters.

Hopefully my loss can be your gain as there are some absolute beauties in my collection. Please have a look through the other items in my shop.

All our posters are 100% authentic originals from the date and year stated.
The majority are from publications such as Rolling Stone, Melody Maker, NME etc.

We will never stock reprints, modern remakes, fakes or any of that sort of rubbish.

Because all of our products are original, authentic items, they will have an aged look. This could mean folds, slight fraying around the edges, yellowing of paper etc. Please see photos for details.

The image you see might be of a folded spread of the magazine, this is only because it hasn't been cut up yet. You will get a clean cut 1-page poster.

You can retailer buy the poster framed or unframed. The black picture frame is stylish and thin with a delicate grain texture and a glass front, it can be hung portrait or landscape.
Frame dimensions are H530mm x W430mm x D15mm.

NB Because the items are vintage, the sizes may be slightly off, but the above is a good general guide.
