Ghost Town Blue Flower Porcelain and retailer Garnet Ring-CottageCore Jewelry-Naturally Found Porcelain, This piece of porcelain was found in the Ghost Town of Anaconda Colorado.

Description

Product Name: Ghost Town Blue Flower Porcelain and retailer Garnet Ring-CottageCore Jewelry-Naturally Found Porcelain

This piece of porcelain was found in the Ghost Town of Anaconda, Colorado near Pikes Peak. Anaconda was a mining town that had its peak in the 1890s. A fire in 1904 destroyed the town, leaving only the foundations visible. Today, the surrounding mining operations have slowly overtaken what remains of the Ghost Town, the majority of which is now buried under slag.

This piece of broken porcelain was found on public land before the town was buried under thousands of pounds of dirt. I love the idea of these people transporting their china sets, perhaps even heirloom pieces, out to live in the wild west by train or wagon. And then a century later, we find the broken pieces in the dirt, where they can live on as jewelry.

Set in Sterling Silver and accented with Garnets. The only alterations I made to the piece of china were shaping and smoothing off the rough edges.

Measurements:

Porcelain flower: 35 mm x 26 mm.

Garnets (4): 3 mm each.

Band: 3 mm wide.

Ring is a size 7.
