The `Iwa is also known for itʻs ability to fly great distances and is frequently mentioned in Hawaiian mo`olelo (stories) and `ōlelo no`eau (proverbs). The `Iwa is rarely seen. When it is seen in the Hawaiian Islands, a storm is coming.
