Saudi Upper Arm Bracelet or retailer C-Shaped Cuff

A very pretty Bedouin Saudi upper arm bracelet worn by tribal women of Yemen but also in Saudi Arabia. It's retailer known as Sumayliya. The central element of this c-shaped bracelet is a solid disk in a slightly brassy color. There are two other similar discs on either side. More usually these would be coins. Overlay work decorates the two sides which end in s-shaped finials. The bracelet is made of mixed metals which may contain some silver and is generally in good vintage condition. There is a similar bracelet in the Musee du Quai Branly collection.

Inner circumference 21 cm (8 1/4"). The diameter is 6.5 cm (2 1/2"). Width is 2 cm (7/8"), Weight is 78.2 g.
