1920s Sheer Embroidered Nightie S M, Vintage Cream Cotton Lawn Flapper Antique Lingerie Dress, Small retailer Medium

This is a lovely true 1920s vintage nightie! This sweet sleep dress is sheer, lightly striped woven cream cotton lawn material with hand embroidered floral details in orange and brown floss yarn. It has a deep V neckline, deeply cut sleeveless armholes, and a below the knee hem with a 1-1/8th" hem allowance. Light and airy, it is perfect for summer nights, whether worn as a dress, a nightgown or a beach cover-up.

It's in fair to good clean condition with some light scattered spots, a couple of small pinholes, some fraying on the embroidery, and the hem was previously let out, as there is a 2" fold line above the bottom hem. It has been "home dry cleaned" but could possibly be washable, we would advise a test spot first to avoid any dye bleed from washing the embroidered parts. There are no labels. It appears to be handmade. It fits like a Small to Medium and measures:

Bust - Open / 36 inches at base of arm opening, which is below natural bust line,
Waist - 38 inches,
Hips - 42 inches,
Shoulders - 12 inches,
Length - 47 inches.
