Original Painting | retailer Pumpkin Patch | Textured Acrylic Art

Happy Halloween! It's October, so of course I had to paint some pumpkins! 'Pumpkin Patch' retailer is a delightful piece with rows of textured, orange pumpkins. I began this piece by painting the shapes and shadows of each pumpkin and stem. Loose pieces of hay surround the pumpkins on the floor. For texture, I added swooping strokes of acrylic paint with gloss gel to create highlights on each pumpkin.

I painted this piece in my textured palette knife style using acrylic paints and mediums on a stretched canvas. The edges of the canvas are painted a cool coffee color to complement the shadows within the painting. It is coated with a professional gloss varnish that protects the paints from fading and discoloration.
