This item is composed of both copper and bronze, and is extremely heavy.
It is 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/4 deep, and the band is 1" high and very thick. The inner diameter, at the widest point, is 2 1/2".
Cast in both copper and bronze, it is further enhanced with crosshatching, lines, incised beads, and has a large round bead in relief within a hexagon shape on retailer the side opposite the opening.
There are lines on the inside where the copper and bronze were joined.
A wonderful sculptural item with great historical interest.
