This vintage silver paper myrtle leaf wedding crown / tiara with matching boutineer / boutonnière are handmade pieces, delicately and finely made from silver colored foil paper, silk thread and thin (but strong) wire. The myrtle is symbolic of love and immortality, and has ties to the goddess Aphrodite. It has been used to adorn the wedding couple for hundreds of years. This bridal crown hails from Bavaria or Austria, near romantic Salzburg. This antique tiara is sure to add glamour to your big day!

The base of the crown is pliable (within reason, please be gentle!) and can be adjusted to fit nearly any head or hairstyle. The color is stunning. The tiara is quite old, and has a little patina, as you can see, gibing it the look of a family heirloom. It's gorgeous, and would be both a unique accent for your bridal ensemble as well as a future heirloom. One of the many wonderful things about paper wedding crowns is that they are more easily pressed into keepsake frames than are their metal counterparts.

This dazzling, silver antique tiara measures nearly 11" / 18.5 cm along the arc of the wire base; in other words, it would be a bit more than 11" / 18 cm long if stretched into a straight line. Please note that this is not a suggestion! It's merely the best way to measure a curved headpiece that can easily be adjusted to different shapes. The sprigs of myrtle are arranged in loops, with the longest / highest measuring about 1.5" / 3.9 cm as shown; they could be shorter or taller, depending upon how you form the loop. The boutineer / boutonnière is 3.8" / 9.6 cm in length.
