Massive Modernist CROWN TRIFARI Silver Snake Chain retailer Rope Lariat with Domed Slider Pendant

This impressive mid-century articulated rope chain lariat is heavy and of sturdy construction. Signed Trifari (with the crown) on both parts of the necklace, this is the most snakelike snake chain I've ever come across. It is slithery and liquid in the hand and has a fantastic weight to it. The slider works beautifully. and there is no wear to the metal. An unusual piece for Trifari and therefore quite rare. It has a fold over retailer clasp.

The rope hangs 17 1/2", and the chain is 1/4" W x just a little over 1/8" H. The piece weighs 137.6 grams.

This is really a stunning piece of jewelry from the 1970s/80s. It is in excellent vintage condition.
