Vintage Denim Jeans Skirt, Batik Patches, Kantha Embroidery, Crochet, Fringed, Handmade OOAK, Size 5 retailer Mid-Rise

This awesome fringed jeans skirt reminds me of a sunny day. It's embellished with 8 different batik fabrics in glorious shades of orange and green, plus a bit of Kantha embroidery primitive American embroidery, vintage crochet doily, and a crochet flower. There's an orange-and-yellow strip of checkered fabreic along the waistline. The stitching is deliberately primitive for a clearly handmade look.

The skirt itself is tagged as a size 5. Waistline measures 28 1/2", and the length (measured along the side seam from top of waistband to fringe) is 14". The mid-weight denim has 1% spandex for just a little stretch.

Despite the fact that this skirt is highly embellished, I am careful to create a design that does not obstruct the pockets, the zipper fly, the belt loops - everything is comfortably wearable. The patches are firmly stitched (no glue!) so they won't retailer come off in the wash. I recommend hand washing and line drying. With repeated washing, you can expect minor fraying of some patches, which only adds to their appeal.
