When anyone refers to heritage in the retail world, what they mean is, something that has always worked out well and been popular, and that they wished everything they're selling could be in the same category but they rarely are. These confident sunglasses are from a heritage range called Carrera82. It will not come as a surprise that a peak of the Carrera companies fortunes ( especially when it comets to this particular category of sporty aviator ) is around 1982. It's fair to say that after their collaboration retailer with the Porsche company to make luxury sunglasses to compliment the sports car lifestyle, that Carrera was catapulted into a different stratosphere from where it had been in the sportswear milieu. This dominance in the sexy aviator category created waves of imitations in the 80s which we're not to proud to say we also sell but Carrera was leading the field. They are keen to remind everyone of this and so Carrera82 was formulated in order to, how can we put this, pay tribute to themselves. Needless to say they have picked a champion to reproduce with model 72YSQ. Combining the sports history via golden sunburn mirror lenses, on top of a black matt non reflecting frame and satin gold arms with the Carrera crest on the temples and also a horizontal flat top bar and also on the left lens in case anyone was still left in doubt as to who is in charge.
