Bauer Red Cookie Jar. This is stamped on its base as BAUER, retailer LOS ANGELES. There is some crazing present as well as a hairline crack as shown in the last photo. It dates to the onset of Bauer Multi-ring production beginning in 1933 with the design work of Louis Ipsen.. This piece was manufactured in Las Angeles and this mark was prominent from 1936 through 1946. In the Book, "Bauer Pottery", the estimated start of Red-Orange was 1933. No lid.
