Vintage 1980s Floral Strapless retailer Sweetheart Dress M

Sometimes the 80s just NAILS midcentury dresses, and this is one such case!

Fantastic and textured cotton in a bold mustard and crimson painterly tulip print with dramatic strapless sweetheart neckline, fully boned bodice and filly swing skirt. Dress is fully lined and has an attached crinoline in black and pale yellow that has been added later by a beginner sewer, based on the coloured and the way it has been stitched underneath. This could be easily removed but does an excellent job holding that skirt out!

The back has an ADORABLE keyhole cutout with a bow at the top and rhinestones in the centre. Fastens with a centre back zip to the bottom of the keyhole, the top closes with a hook and bar and a snap on the bow to hold everything in place.

...and of course the dress has pockets.

Condition: Good. The white boning channels on the inside of the dress are lightly stained, but I have not tried to wash the dress so they could come out. Not at all visible when worn. The snap at the back appears to have been moved over at one point. Lining slightly faded in places on the bodice. White boning channels appear to have been added later as well. The outside of the dress is pristine.

Length from centre back to hem: 32-1/2"
