All of the blankets sizes are handmade with love in my home. The fabric is selected by you ( the width of fabric selected will determine size of blanket) Please see listing for weight and size. If you need a size and weight not listed send me a custom order and I can get you pricing!! One side of the blanket can be made of minky, flannel, fleece or cotton fabric and the other side is a cotton fabric. NOTE: you must specify in a message what color and or design of fabric you would like as these are custom made and you pick the fabric. The picture in the listing are samples of my work and the fabric may not be available.
Virgin POLY PELLETS are sewn in each square of the blanket and divided evenly into 4" x 4" squares to provide proper distribution of the weight.

Please Note:
This blanket is hand made and to ensure straight lines and even weight distribution we use a non toxic chalk to mark the sewing lines. Please be aware that your blanket will have visible lines that will disappear either with use, or after washing the blanket in a washing machine. This does not alter the effectiveness of the blanket. Color of lines will be based on visibility of lines against fabric.

Washing Instructions - wash in cold water, gentle cycle (machine safe) and line dry if possible or on lowest temperature setting in dryer. Line drying will extend life of blanket. ANY KIND OF BLEACH SHOULD NOT be used in washing. Fabric softner is not recommended when drying in dryer.

Weighted blankets have been found to be beneficial for people retailer with sensory processing disorder, autism, ADHD, restless leg syndrome, anxiety or anyone who finds a heavy blanket calming, I am not a doctor or an occupational therapist. Always consult your doctor or health care provider if you have questions regarding the use of weighted lap pads or blankets. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER THREE YEARS OF AGE (they must be able to remove blanket from body by themselves for safety reasons).

Weight is determined by 10% of body weight + 1 pound (ex: 50 lb child: 10% = 5lb + 1 lb = 6lb blanket) Always consult your doctor or specialist regarding the use of weighted items.

Blankets should not be chewed because holes may expose pellet filler added for weight, though the beads are non-allergenic and safe to wash.


As this is a special order item, order will be shipped 2-3 weeks from order date
