lined with two slip pockets. retailer Striking embossed art nouveau pattern on the front. I have seen long chains added to these
that you can purchase online, easily added and then can wear
as a shoulder piece.

The Arts & Crafts purses were probably inspired by William Morris' designs and Elbert Hubbard's Roycrofter molded leather book bindings and purses, there were many makers of these Arts & Crafts purses, as well as the fittings and the frames. Meeker (Joplin, MO), Enger Kress, Amity, Justin, Bosca (Springfield, Ohio) and Kranz of Cordova Shops (Buffalo, NY) are some favorite makers. Jemco and Turnloc made many of the metal fittings for purses. They were most popular from the turn of
the century to the 1930s and are made of genuine leather.

Measures; 5.75" length, 6.5" height, with a 4" drop on the leather carry strap which I think they may have worn chatelaine style.

Beautiful condition, with wear indicative of age, some tarnishing to the metals, Interior is clean and free of odors. Some wearing to the leather lace work, edge wear and some marks throughout.
The lacing is in good repair (that is unusual) however, the leather strap is showing stress at the connection point and will most likely need some reenforcing at your local cobblers. Worth the investment!!
