Vintage Zisha Pot retailer with Warming or Cooling Chamber and cup

Vintage Zisha Pot with Warming Chamber and cup. It is marked "Luzhou Laojiao Zisha Daqu" which is a Chinese Liqueur. This leads me to believe that it may have been designed as a premium accessory used to warm or cool the liqueur by adding hot water to the chamber for a warm winter drink, or possibly ice to keep the liqueur cool without diluting it in the summer. I have scoured the internet and cannot find another pot like it, so this is all guesswork, but I think it does show that this is a rare item. Please correct / enlighten me if you know anything about this pot!

Set includes 5 pieces as pictured. The assembled chamber and pot stand about 4 1/2" high, including the lid handle. The pot's diameter is 4 1/2" at its widest point.

Condition: There is a chip on the edge of the lid. retailer It measures about 7/16" across and is shallow. Otherwise, the pot and the small cup are in very good vintage condition with no observable defects, scratches or damage.
