Mari Mittens- Norwegian Knit Mittens, Handmade retailer Scandinavian style mittens

This pattern is incredibly special to me as it was originally created by my great-great-great-great aunt, Mari Skinnerud in Norway.

I first learned about Mari's mittens at the Lands Museum in Dokka, Norway, where they had a display honoring her contributions to the knitting world. I purchased the pattern and with the help of a friend, translated it to english. After a few fits and starts I finished a pair and then couldn't stop knitting mittens.

The dual yarns add incredible warmth and make these retailer mitten super cozy. A traditional Norwegian pattern by a Norwegian.

Material: 100% wool

Measurements:

Care instructions: hand wash in cool water, lay flat to dry. I recommend using a rinse free detergent like Eucalan.
