An adorable blue eyed brunette, Silk Garden Flower exemplifies the best of Victorian attire for a little girl; lovely in lavender, a favored Victorian color scheme. Her ribbed silk (or amazing silk look-alike fabric) chemise style dress, blouson before the cinched drop waist, lends itself beautifully to the embroidered floral embellishments on the white ground of both central panel and Peter Pan collar. Beautiful, formal back bow has center banding rather than a knot. It's lavender blue ribbon, of a compatible ribbed texture, has a distinct sheen to it. Dainty, sawtooth crochet lace edges collar and dual, lower gathered flounces, of slightly different lengths, they have an attached, matching white flounce underneath rather than a half slip. Such a perfect touch, along with her lace wristlet gloves and lace-trimmed fold-over anklets. retailer Her lavender velvet, modified Mary Jane style shoes, with higher top and white side snaps match her ensemble perfectly. She carries her dressy, floral lace overlay, reticule pouch with gossamer bow and a little flower cluster. She is a perfect companion to the Victorian Marigold doll, in my opinion, especially with the embroidered details on both dolls!
MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.
MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is often more important than listing "never removed from box." I do briefly remove to restring after testing in the box confirms that is needed, and then re-tie into box in original configuration. My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand with your order, please add $1.00 to your total.
