A superb antique Russian orthodox pendant icon from the late 1800s featuring Saint Trifon.

It was intended as a personal travel icon.

It is hand painted and enamelled on a porcelain plaque with a brass surround.

It measures 1 1/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches (4 cm by 3 cm).

The item is generally in a good condition for its age, but please note that the porcelain has a hairline crack. It is, however, holding firm in the brass frame. (please see our final photograph where we have tried to show the hairline crack).

It's a lovely decorative piece to add to your collection or for a vintage prop, and it is in great shape for its age.
