Original acrylic & ink abstract artwork, mixed media, is created on a hard art board or tile which measures 11x14 inches (framed size is 13x16x1.5 inches). Finished tiles are supplied framed but without glass.
Acrylic paints and inks are added to the surface of an art board or hard tile to create an abstract image. Mixing acrylic paints and inks together is like mixing oil and water; a fluid, dynamic interaction takes place at the boundary between the two until the point at which the interaction is manually stopped or the liquids totally dry. Once the tiles dry, a polymer retailer coating is applied over the surface which protects the image and provides a glossy finish. The tile is then framed (without glass).
