Compact Wristlet, Powder Compact Made in France, 1940s, 1930s, retailer Vintage Powder Compact Purse, Brevete?, Good Vintage Condition

Here is a rather tall compact purse made in France and I am guessing in the 1930s or 1940s. It could be a bit later, but not by too much. Inside it has a MADE in France mark, and I believe it was made by Brevete.

It's got a fabric exterior and I don't know the fabric type retailer. It feels soft like leather. The fabric is a bit stained and worn in places which I try to show in the pictures.

On the top is a power compartment which I tried to empty of powder. It's so messy, some got on the front, but I tried to wipe it off. Around the rim some fabric came off, so you can see the base metal which may be brass, but I am not sure.

Inside the powder well is a heart with Paris on it. This is metal. The mirror on the other side has a sticker which says “Dore fin” which translates to gold finish, but it must mean gold tone finish. I find no gold stamp on it. The mirror has some age spots, but it's not broken.

Under the powder compartment it is stamped MADE IN FRANCE, and it's worn, but I believe it once said BREVETE, the maker.

Inside is a an empty metal tube, and below that is a spring loader which I believe was used for perfume. There is also a screen for the powder and two puffs which are unmarked.

This compact purse is in good to fair condition which I try to note in this description and in the pictures.

This compact measures 5 inches tall and 2 inches wide. And it opens and closes well.

The wristlet attached has all its links and measures a little over 6 inches.
